1. Cookies we set
All of these are first-party cookies, set by workofficially.com.
| Cookie | What it does | Type | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
wrk_session | Keeps you signed in and protects forms against forgery. It may cover our subdomains (support, community, shop) so you stay signed in across them. | Strictly necessary | Up to 8 hours |
wo_vid | A random visitor number, so we can see how visitors move from the home page to signing up. Not set if you turn optional analytics off. | Optional analytics | 1 year |
wo_analytics | Remembers that you turned optional analytics off. | Preference | 1 year |
wo_theme | Remembers light or dark mode. | Preference | 1 year |
shop_guest_cart | Keeps the items in your shop cart if you are not signed in. | Strictly necessary (shop only) | 30 days |
wrk_admin_device | Remembers a trusted device for WorkOfficially staff signing in to the admin tools. Never set for members. | Strictly necessary (staff only) | 30 days |
Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the site to work, so they cannot be switched off here; you can still block them in your browser, but signing in will then not work.
2. Turning analytics off
Go to Cookie settings and switch optional analytics off. In that browser we then stop setting the wo_vid visitor number (and remove an existing one), stop collecting device details (screen size, time zone, language, device model), and stop recording where you left the signup or profile form. Records of the steps you take are kept without the visitor number or your IP address.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it exactly the same way, with no need to visit Cookie settings.
Security logging is not affected: we still record page visits (with IP address and browser, kept 90 days), sign-in attempts and suspicious requests, because we need them to protect accounts. See our Privacy Policy.
3. Other storage in your browser
Some pages keep small settings in your browser's local or session storage instead of a cookie. They never leave your device:
- your light or dark mode choice;
- inbox preferences: sort order, favourites, whether the details panel is open, the call layout, and private notes you write on a conversation;
- whether you have dismissed a welcome or setup message;
- which AI assistant conversation and which call are open in the current tab.
Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
4. Third parties
On pages where you pay by card, Stripe's payment form runs inside our page and may set its own cookies to prevent fraud; see Stripe's privacy policy. Our pages load their styling from jsDelivr, which receives your IP address the way any website you load files from does, but sets no cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, the Facebook pixel or any advertising network.
5. Changes and contact
If we add a cookie, we add it to this page first. Questions: [email protected].
