Best Upwork alternatives in 2026

The main alternatives to Upwork are WorkOfficially, Fiverr, Freelancer.com, Toptal and PeoplePerHour. They differ most on two things: what each takes from what you earn, and whether the reviews you have already earned can move with you. WorkOfficially is the one that imports and verifies your Upwork history through the Reputation Bridge, so you do not restart at zero on a new platform.

1. WorkOfficially - the switcher's pick

WorkOfficially is built for exactly this moment. It is the only option here that lets you bring your reputation with you - importing and verifying your reviews from Upwork and other platforms - so you do not restart at zero.

On top of that: a low, published platform fee that falls with your reputation tier, built-in WorkSafe escrow, and identity verification for every freelancer.
