Fair fees

Keep more of what you earn.

Most freelance marketplaces take up to 20% of every dollar. On WorkOfficially the platform fee starts at 10%, falls as your reputation tier rises, and Pro and Elite plans take a further 50% or 75% off it. The fee is snapshotted on each contract, so it never changes after you have agreed the work.

The math

20% adds up to a lot of your year.

Earn $100,000 a year on a platform that takes 20%, and you hand over $20,000 - every year, for work you already did. Over a five-year freelance career that is six figures lost to fees alone.

WorkOfficially's fee is transparent and competitive: one published base rate, lower for higher reputation tiers, halved on Pro and cut by three quarters on Elite. Payouts are sent by hand within a few business days of your request.

One fee, published

The rate that applies to you is shown on your billing page before you accept any contract, and it is fixed on the contract from that moment.

Escrow-protected

Lower fees never mean lower safety. Every contract is backed by WorkSafe escrow.

FAQ

Fee questions, answered.

What is the WorkOfficially platform fee?

The platform fee starts at 10% of each released milestone, is lower for higher reputation tiers, and Pro and Elite plans take a further 50% or 75% off. The rate is fixed on each contract when it is created.

How is that different from Upwork or Fiverr?

Upwork takes around 10% and Fiverr takes 20% of every transaction. WorkOfficially publishes one base rate and reduces it with your reputation tier and plan, so freelancers keep more.
