After you sign up, "Finish setting up" asks whether you want Reputation Bridge, Career Bridge, both or neither. Choose Career Bridge and the steps below take a few minutes; strong proofs verify on the spot.
Add a job
Employer, title, dates, industry and company size. Current job or a past one; both count, and a past job is shown with its dates.
Prove it
Weakest to strongest: your LinkedIn data export, a pay slip or bank statement with amounts and ID numbers blacked out, a code sent to your work email, a two-question reference answered from a work address, or an invite from a colleague who is already verified.
Pick a stage
Moonlighter keeps the job: evenings and weekends, a weekly hours cap, small fixed-price gigs first, employer-safe mode. Part-timer is a 20-hour week of retainers. Independent is the whole platform. Change it whenever you like.
Set your privacy
Open shows the employer and is indexed. Discreet is indexed under your full name with employer and client names hidden. Hidden is kept out of Google, invisible to viewers from the companies you name, and shows a first name and an initial.
Watch the meter
Enter your salary once. The private hope meter sets your freelance earnings over the last 90 days against a quarter of it, with four milestones. Nobody else ever sees the salary or the meter, and it promises nothing.
The starter kit
Once a job is verified we draft a headline, an overview and three service packages from it, and your first-client list shows evening-sized jobs: evenings-and-weekends, part-time friendly, small fixed budgets. Edit, publish, take one.
A badge that tells the truth.
Your profile carries a Verified professional badge. Until your first completed job it reads "Verified employment, new here", so a client always knows they are looking at proven employment and a new freelancer, not a padded history.
The starting reputation is provisional. It sits below the tiers real reviews unlock, it can never lift a trust score above 49 of 100, and it fades between day 90 and day 180 unless real client reviews take over. Clients can filter talent search to verified professionals and can mark jobs "Evenings and weekends" or "Part-time friendly".

Four lines we drew before writing a line of code.
- Contact your employer. The only person we ever write to is the referee you name, with the two questions you have seen.
- Show your salary. The salary you enter and the hope meter are private. No client, member or reviewer sees them.
- Keep your documents. A pay slip or statement is deleted 30 days after a decision, whichever way the decision goes.
- Index a Hidden profile. Hidden means kept out of Google, invisible to viewers from the companies you name, and shown as a first name and an initial.
Questions people ask before they add a job.
Which proofs verify instantly and which does a person check?
A code to your work email, a reference answered from a work address and a colleague invite verify on the spot. Senior titles, a work email whose domain does not match the employer, and document-only proofs (a LinkedIn export or a pay slip) are checked by a person.
What if I leave the job?
The record stays, with its dates, and reads as past employment. Verification lasts 12 months; when it is due for renewal you can add a fresh code from a new employer or another proof.
Is this the same as Reputation Bridge?
No. Reputation Bridge imports reviews you earned on other freelance marketplaces. Career Bridge verifies employment. In "Finish setting up" you can choose either, both or neither.
What does the badge say once I have finished a job?
"New here" is dropped after your first completed job. From then on the badge reads "Verified professional", with the employer shown or only described, as you choose, and your real reviews take over from the provisional boost.
